A: Yes, it can be used on several types of hard floors. It mentions tile, linoleum, and laminate in the manual.
Q: Is this machine designed to deep clean carpet that has heavy trafic?
A: I thought it did a wonderful job on my carpet that had heavy traffic patterns. It fluffed up the carpet to almost new. However, if you let it go too long before using, it make take a while to get it fluffed back up again. I also thought it did a good job of deep cleaning.
Q: Does the machine heat the water?
A: No, you mix hot water with the solution.
Q: Is this model a vaccum and a carpet cleaner?
A: It is not intended to be used as a vacuum only. While it does work as a vacuum while cleaning your carpet, it can get clogged with pet hair etc. and require cleaning out during use.
Q: Can this be used on Persian carpets?
A: I would not use this on Persian carpets because they are way too delicate. The colors might fade using any carpet cleaner on any carpet. Some Persian style carpets are made with modern fibers and can withstand this type of cleaning, but any area rug might be too delicate for this powerful cleaner. You should test the cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous place first. That said, I did clean 3 Persian style large area rugs that I inherited and they came out beautiful. Since I had no idea how old these rugs were or where they came from, I blindly took a chance and they all survived. Even the color was brighter. I did not use Oxy Clean as I usually do on the wall to wall carpets and I slightly diluted the cleaning solution.
Q: I've only used it twice, now brushes won't turn . I cleaned everything, still no result
A: Check to see if one of the bands have snapped. If the machine picks up a sharp object or piece of dog bone it can act like a razor and cut it. If not covered under your warranty it's an easy fix once you of order the replacement band's from Bissel. Usually the only tool you would need is a screwdriver to get to them
Q: What temperature does it heat the water?
A: Not sure how hot it gets. The instructions say to fill it with hot water at about 140 degrees. It does feel warmer as I clean and have to step on the carpet. Drying time is about 3 hours.
A: No this is only a carpet cleaner. It does not vacuum.too..
