Q: Roughly how many books will the 8GB hold?
A: Currently have over 150, closer to two hundred and still have space. Likely to depend on how large of books.
Q: Can I download books from my local library on the paperwhite?
A: Hello eddie! The Kindle Paperwhite is compatible with a number of different eBook formats and does work with a number of different library book services such as Libby. In most cases, you will be able to take out the digital copy of a book using your library's eBook service and then there would be a "Send to Kindle" option for it. At that point you would be able to send it to your Kindle for the allotted time that you have it taken out for. Your best course of action to take to ensure that your library offers that service is to consult your local library's librarian. A: Hello, the ads are on the lock screen of the device. There is no monthly charge for them. If you want to remove them, there is a one time fee through your Amazon Account. I have never removed them from my devices. They only show up on the lock screen. Have a great day!
