Q: does it really weigh 26.8 lbs???
A: No, it's fairly light, easy to move, would be easy to mount
Q: Can this sound bar be used simply with a digital optical cable? AND is the cable included?
A: Yes, this is how I have mine set up and it does come with the optical cable.
Q: My main concern is understanding dialog. Does this have a dialog or voice clarity setting?
A: No … just presets for Movies, Music, and News.

Q: What cables, if any, come with the speaker?
A: Optical, HDMI. I used a coaxial for mine but it was not included in the package.
A: If you use it in "wireless" mode in most TV's, the main speaker audio is re-routed. So the built-in speakers are off. If you connect it via the TOSLINK cable you'll have mute the TV speaker yourself.
