Fast! Up to 300mbps on v60 card
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been stuck to low speed SD card readers for years since most laptops don't have one anymore (thanks apple) and bought many advertised as 3.0 speed but not 3.0 on real life.....sooo.... I bought this one and was so happy to get real USB 3.0 speeds out of it, if you use a V30 card you'll get speeds up to 90mbps, v60 300mbps, v90 500mbps it's just amazing for this price, extremely well built it feels like it will last

Works great
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great to transfer pictures and video from SD cards. Portable, can be taken anywhere. I bought a USB 3.0 extension to be able to have it plugged in away from the computer. The SD card can be inserted an removed very easily and smoothly, which is something that can't be said for my previous reader. Unplug it when you eject it. Otherwise if you leave it plugged in for a long time you may run into issues reconnecting to it.

Perfect for what it is
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very well made. I bought this to replace a Transcend which quit on me. Sony card readers cost more but they have always lasted me and given good speeds. You pay more for quality, but if you need reliability it's worth the extra few bucks.

Fast and reasonably priced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This SD memory card device is fairly straight forward. As with any flash memory drive writing data to the memory media is always slower than reading data from same media. Compared to my old USB 2.0 SD memory card device, this USB 3.1 device is night and day in speed performance. While the write data speed seems marginally faster, the read data speed is drastically faster compared to USB 2.0 standard. This USB 3.1 device makes pulling data off SD cards take much less time compared to using an older USB 2.0 device. All in all there isn't any downside to this device other than it is costlier than similar USB 3.0 devices.
