Q: Can you change the color of the keyboard to one solid color?

A: Yes, you can set it to a continuous blue color with a keyboard command or you can install the supporting gaming software. I prefer to use this keyboard for typing, not gaming, so I use the keyboard command. Press and hold the FN key (on lower right on keyboard) then press the F5 key 6 times. It will cycle through various settings until the last one which is a continuous, always-on blue color. Unfortunately, you have to do this every time you boot your computer. It does not retain your setting choice like some other keyboards do. For that, you probably would want to install the gamer software. I just choose to enter the keyboard command to set it to solid color. By the way, the F7 key (with FN key held down) controls the brightness of the keyboard lights. It will also cycle them down to OFF.

Q: So it says that it is the linear keys but in the product images it shows that it has the gx blue keycaps that are featured on logitech's website. which one is it?

Q: My laptop only has 2 USB ports and one is for my wireless mouse. Since this keyboard requires the use of 2 USB ports, could I use one of the USB port splitters or hubs to make it work? I won't be using the keyboard for gaming, if that makes a difference.

A: The keyboard doesn’t require two ports, one is for the on keyboard usb port, another one is actually for the keyboard, so there’s nothing to worry about.

A: Hello, JARS! If you don't mind louder, clicky key feel the G513 is a great choice for data entry! It even has programmable macro keys that can make your life easier. Just keep in mind that these keys are louder than most mechanical keyboards. If you want something quieter, I would recommend taking a look at the G815, G915, or the MX Mechanical keyboards. These do have low profile keys but they are still mechanical and a bit quieter. - Maggie from Logitech G

A: Hey there JARS! The G513 is a mechanical keyboard, and this particular version has "clicky" keys, meaning they're a bit louder than a standard office keyboard. Q: Does the G513 have color inversion for toggled keys i.e. num lock, mute, and caps lock? I ask because the G512 does not. Furthermore, are there any other substantial differences between the two models (G513 vs G512)?

A: Hello. The only difference between the G512 and G513 is that the latter comes with the wrist rest. The keyboard is the same.
